1.) How satisfied were you with your pictures overall?
Extremely satisfied with our pictures. I personally love the photos that are more artistic but I wanted some of the traditional ones as well and we got a great amount of both plus she gives you every picture she takes and I enjoyed that. She got pictures of everything the guests,and details and if you have any requests she will do that as well.What I loved most was that in the pictures you could really see the happiness we were beaming with that day and the love we share. All our friends and family commented about the emotion they could see through the photos. To me that was important because 10 or 20 years from now you may not remember the flowers you used or the cake mishap but you ll remember the feelings you shared and the pictures truly expressed that.
2. How would you rate Emily's professionalism on your wedding day?
I would give her a 10. She knows how to make you feel comfortable and to take the nerves away(which you'll probably have) My husband nor I had ever taken professional photos so we were a tad bit nervous of that whole experience in itself. But Emily really made you feel good, what I really enjoyed was if I was doing a pose or facial expression that wasn't my best she told me! I LOVED that because the last thing I wanted was to look dumb in all the photos on the flip side she'll tell you when your looking good and that's always motivating and feels good. She shined with helping at the wedding and even bustled my dress since my girls couldn't figure it out!
3. Were there any surprises or problems that came up? How were they taken care of?
With Emily no problems but other things yes haha but another reason I loved Emily was I had dj problems and he played the wrong song while I walked down the aisle minor detail but Emily made us a video after our wedding and played the song I WAS suppose to walk down to. It meant alot that she went out of her way to do that for us and still brings tears to my eyes when I watch it. She really pays attention, right before I walked down I started to freak out but she was like take a deep breath....and it was nice that she was there she really cares about her brides and to me that is amazing.
4.) Is there anything else I should know when considering Emily as my photographer?
I really love everything about Emily she has wonderful ideas and is up for any ideas you throw out there. On your wedding day, she will make you the priority and keep you on track time wise. We have got so many compliments of our wedding photos and photography. To me photography was one of the most important aspects of our day. She really went above and beyond what we could have ever asked for. Let her know what you like and want and she'll do it. She's all about making her brides happy.

Okay, so I've been going through my pictures so much lately trying to choose which one's I'd like to have on display in my house and to fill my frames. I had to write and tell you how incredibly HARD it is. You truly have a gift, my friend. I adore all of them so much. You were the reason I enjoyed my wedding day. I look back on that day and forget (or at least lessen the effect) how stressful certain aspects were of that day. You were the person I asked for advice. You were the person that encouraged me to ignore the cranky people and focus on my husband and how happy he made me. You were the person that ran interference. You were the person that knew the RIGHT answers to questions without even having to ask me. You were the person that encouraged us to take "just a few more pictures" as you said we wouldn't regret it. I'm here to tell you I don't regret one minute of making people wait.
You captured everything I hoped for in the pictures when I searched for a photographer. Even though I know this is not the last set of pictures you will take for me, the dedication you put into doing what I needed you to do will not be forgotten. Cody and I both thank you sincerely. Emily is the most amazing photographer, all of our guests raved about her. She took so many pictures and seemed to be in 3 places at one time. She is professional and like a friend all at the same time. We did family/engagement photos and they turned out perfectly. She had a couple of pictures posted before we went to bed on our wedding night. I had several people already ask for her website so they can use her too. You will not find a photographer with a more creative eye at a reasonable price and she is fun to work with too.

Emily is the best photographer you can work with in California! Again, I did a thorough search for Bay area photographers in all the usual ways - internet, magazines, asking friends. When I visited Emily's website I was thrilled that she actually posts all the information you need to make a decision online - her calendar, prices and packages. Everything the books tell you to negotiate and get your photographer to do for you, Emily does. No stress, no mess.
I emailed Emily and several other photographers one night and she responded almost immediately asking if I'd like to meet for coffee the next day to see her portfolio. That's when I learned that she's actually based in Sacramento, but travels everywhere to do photos. As we're both local, we met the next day and within an hour we were booked on her calendar. Which was great news, because at this point my wedding was about 2 weeks out. Pure luck that Emily was available.
Emily has a great eye for composition and took great candid, as well as posed shots. She posted everything online for us to view and order almost immediately, then delivered a cd with all the shots and edits we could imagine. She captured the beauty, the laughter, the love and the magic of the day. Her photos are wonderful.
Then as an added bonus, I did a "trash the dress" shoot with Emily. Actually, we did two sessions and again came out with some incredible photos. It was such fun and we got some incredible shots. My flowergirl commented that "now you're a super model". Well I wouldn't say that but Emily sure made me look like one in her photos!
